The first chance to check out BEAM's new LED shoes in the flesh!
We had been waiting for this night for a long time. Having officially launched the previous day we were excited to finally be showcasing our wares at an event. And not just any event, but La La Land at Shapes in Hackney. Hosted by Black Butter Records, and sponsored by Love Specs and Urbanears Headphones it goes without saying that we were thrilled to be there.
From the secret line up, Carly Wilford was spotted wearing a pair of our Black Originals, as was Lulu James of Gorgon City.
Both artists smashed the event and the atmosphere was made even better when Toyboy & Robin also killed their set. Finally, the headliner was announced: none other than Black Butter legend Kidnap Kid.
Overall, we thought that the night was a great success. We were very proud to have such established artists sporting our light up shoes, and were glad that a lot of the people at the event also thought they were cool, deciding to buy a pair then and there and wear them for the rest of the evening!
Here's one final photo that we think is pretty cool. Taken just after a burst of dry ice on to the dance floor, these BEAMs really light the whole place up, creating an aurora of white light around them like the wearer was walking on a cloud of electricity.
