There's been a lot going on in the last couple of weeks, so check out below what's been happening at BEAM HQ.
The main thing: Fulfilment is now taken care of by James & James
As we briefly mentioned in a previous blog post, we have recently moved the fulfilment of orders to a specialist company called James and James. As of Wednesday last week, whenever you now order from us, J&J takes care of picking, packing and posting your light up shoes / pom-poms/ Love Specs to you.
What does this mean for you?
It’s great news! Thanks to J&J this means that when you order a pair of BEAMs before 1pm on any weekday your shoes will be dispatched that same afternoon. You can even track the progress of your order as it makes its way through the warehouse. Moreover, because J&J handle massive volume in their warehouse they get great mailing rates. As a result, we now offer free 2nd class shipping on all orders, for every product. So if you order before 1pm, Monday to Friday, your order will be posted that same day, and in most cases arrive in 3 days.
We now also offer three other postage options, for faster services (1st class) as well as more reliable services (Tracked and Signed For).
Finally, returns are now even easier. After you order has been dispatched, J&J will email you with a link for tracking your order in ViewPort, which is their dashboard for looking after your order. It looks like this:
It’s here that you can choose to return your order, either for a refund or to exchange for a different size. In the top corner you can see a ‘Return Your Order’ button. Just click on that and follow the instructions, including why you are returning it and if you want to exchange or refund. J&J will then create a unique label for you which you need to print off. Then, all you need to do is pop the shoes and their charger in the box, seal them in a mailing bag like the one they arrived in, and stick the label to the front of the mailing bag. You can then just drop them off at the Post Office, and within a few days your order should be back at the warehouse. We will then process your request, and if you’ve opted for an exchange your shoes will arrive back to you in another 3 or so days.
